RENTAL AND BEATS
If you don’t own a fly rod or just don’t have your own ‘chalk stream’ outfit, we would be happy to hire you the kit for the duration of your stay. The package includes an 8’6” #5 or 9’ #6 carbon rod, a reel fitted with a floating line and a landing net. THE PEAT SPADE FISHING BEATS
We have access to a varied selection of chalk stream fishing to suit the experienced fly fisherman looking for a challenging day or the improver after more relaxed fishing. These include Rods on the Test, suitable for either the individual, or a group such as a corporate day. We have access to a wonderful private estate on the Dever – my favourite Hampshire chalk stream. We also have a private stretch on the Upper Avon that is a wild brown trout and grayling fishery offering super sport. For the novice group we have exclusive rights to a private estate spring fed lake with crystal clear water where one can ‘stalk’ individual fish – book a day here with our instructors to learn or improve your techniques. We are taking bookings for these now – in order to insure your booking we advise to book in the autumn for the following season’s dates. Chalk stream fly fishing days for trout start from about £100 / rod fishing carriers.

Main river days start from about £250 / rod / day

GRAYLING FISHING
Now that grayling fishing is becoming increasingly popular, several of our beats will feature this sport at the end of the main season. It is a great way of enjoying the winter months and grayling on a dry fly or a small nymph represents excellent, and often underestimated, fishing.

ROD LICIENCE
