Shelly Dias – General Manager at The Peat Spade Inn

I’ve always had a passion for my career in the hospitality industry and have spent much of my career working in hotels & restaurants. I started as a hotel receptionist for Ommeroo Hotel & worked my way up to roles such as reception supervisor & shift leader before becoming an assistant manager at The White Hart hotel opposite Henley Regatta.

I then moved on to my first general manager position at Oast House restaurant & bar in Henley. After that, across seven years I was managing The White Hart in Andover & The Half Moon in Sherborne. When those sites were bought out, I moved to Fullers & managed The White Hart in Stockbridge for seven years before joining Upham Pub Group in September 2017.

After falling in love with the Test Valley I am delighted to be in my new position as general manager of The Peat Spade.

The Peat Spade has so much to offer as both a dining destination and local pub. With Christmas and New Year looming I have lots of plans for the pub and restaurant including working with our fantastic head chef, James, on seasonal menu changes, live music and festive events.

I have been warmly welcomed so far by the team and locals and look forward to meeting more regulars and new faces to the business.
