The Test Valley is one of the best kept secrets in Hampshire, nestling between the historic cities of Winchester and Salisbury, with the New Forest to the south and London an hours drive away. The area is characterised by wonderful countryside, picture postcard villages and the River Test famous for being the fly fishing capital of the world.

Opened by chef LUCY TOWNSEND, the Peat Spade is now renowned for its glorious food, good beer (real ales) and fine wines.

We use the finest, freshest local produce to create a superbly simple, classic English menu that changes with the seasons.
